Installer un IRCu de type ancien

 

L'IRCu (Universal IRC Daemon) est developpé par Undernet. Les IRCu de type ancien offrent peu de possibilités comparés aux nouveaux IRCu, mais ils permettent d'utiliser des services tels que CService et/ou Uworld, au contraire des nouveaux IRCu.

Pour l'installer, suivez les indications suivantes (étant loggué en SSH) :

- tar zxvf ircu2.10.10.tgz
- cd ircu2.10
- ./configure
- make config
 

Lors du make config, une série de questions va vous êtres posées, voici un exemple pour y répondre :

Puis aller sur le FTP, uploader le fichier exemple.conf, éditer le, & renommer le en ircd.conf. Voici un exemple de configuration :

Voilà. Il ne vous reste plus qu'à aller dans le répertoire où vous avez installé le serveur et à taper ./ircd ou bien ./ircd -w ip si ./ircd n'ouvre aucun process). Bonne chance:)
